Mattias Wennberg (born 04/08/1991) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays for Hibernian as a striker.
Club career[]
Mattias started his footballing career at Swedish club AIK, being signed by them in 2014 at the age of 23 before moving to Hibernian in an £825,000 move in a 5 year contract, reportedly being paid £4,500 per week.
He made his debut against Olympique Marseille in the Champions Cup and scored a hat trick. He went on to score in all games he was involved in,
International career[]
Wennberg made his international debut for Sweden in the Euro Championship Qualifications in a group with Azerbaijan, Georgia, Hungary, Italy and Slovakia. He scored his first international goal in his 5th cap, against Italy in a 3-1 loss.
